Where do they dredge up these people?
I'm sure you all have heard about this "pastor" who leads the Kansas "church" that is always picketing with the "God Hates Fags" signs.

As if the story isn't enough to give people nightmares, the photos are beyond disturbing.
I'm trying to figure out how people can, according to them, study the Bible and still get it completely wrong. Creepy.

It gets worse. When Daniel and I lived in Oberlin, Ohio, home to Oberlin College a well-known very liberal institution, this same group would come and stand for days in the square. They would shot their offensive message, trying to pick a fight because they finance their efforts through justifiable lawsuits. They exercise their rights and so understandably incensed normal person gets into it with them. When the fight goes far enough, the Phelps group sues, wins money and lives to fight another day. Some strategy. They were even here in Tulsa earlier this spring to protest outside Asbury United Methodist because of the Methodist church's stance on homosexuality. Tom Harrison exhorted church members to just drive on by and not play into their hands.
