Alleged Child Rapist Goes Free Because Court Can't Find Interpreter
I have a solution to prevent this ever happening again. It's simple. Perhaps even plebeian. But, so help me, I think it would work. I like to call it: "Universal Language for Child Molesters."
Come on. If Americans can spend 47 years and millions of dollars sending messages into outer space, surely we can spare some time and money to communicate the consequence of sex with children to the thousands of immigrants, both legal and illegal -- I'm sorry, both "documented" and "undocumented" -- currently residing amongst us.
(After all, expecting foreign cultures to automatically concur with this Ameri-centric tenet that the sexual violation of children is taboo would be racism of the basest sort.)
Ergo, we as Americans must inform our foreign guests of these expectations in a language accessible to all and sundry who encounter it. How's this?
